Explanation using Example
Imagine Rita offers to sell her bicycle to John for Rs. 3000. John doesn't say anything but immediately transfers Rs. 3000 to Rita's bank account. John's action of transferring the money is a performance of the condition of Rita's proposal, and thus, according to Section 8 of The Indian Contract Act, 1872, it is considered an acceptance of the proposal. Now, they have a legally enforceable contract for the sale of the bicycle.
