The High Courts (Seals) Act, 1950

The High Courts (Seals) Act, 1950 was enacted to regulate the use of seals by Indian High Courts. The Act provides for the design of seals to be used by High Courts, and regulates their use in official documents and judicial proceedings. The Act also specifies the manner in which the seals are to be kept and safeguarded by the High Courts. Any person who wrongfully uses or counterfeits the seal of a High Court is punishable under the Act. The Act applies to all High Courts in India.
