The High Court at Bombay (Extension of Jurisdiction to Goa, Daman and Diu) Act, 1981

The High Court at Bombay (Extension of Jurisdiction to Goa, Daman and Diu) Act, 1981 extends the jurisdiction of the Bombay High Court to the Union territories of Goa, Daman and Diu. It provides for the establishment of a permanent bench of the High Court in the Union Territory of Goa, and confers on the High Court the power to issue writs and orders for the enforcement of fundamental rights to the residents of these Union territories. The Act aims to provide easier access to justice for the residents of these Union territories, as they no longer have to travel to Bombay for judicial matters.
