Explanation using Example
Imagine John, an insured factory worker, sustains an injury at work that unfortunately leads to his death. Under Section 52 of the Employees State Insurance Act, 1948, John's family (dependants) are eligible to receive a financial benefit. This is known as the dependant's benefit. If John had a spouse and children, they would receive this benefit at the rates and for the period set by the Central Government, helping to support them financially after their loss.
