The Dadra and Nagar Haveli Act, 1961

The Dadra and Nagar Haveli Act, 1961 was enacted to provide for the administration of the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The Act provides for the establishment of a legislature and council of ministers for the Union Territory. The Act also empowers the Administrator of the Union Territory to make rules and regulations for the peace, progress and good governance of the Union Territory. The Act also lays down the procedure for elections and the conduct of business of the legislature and the council of ministers.
