Explanation using Example
Example of Section 29 of The Copyright Act, 1957
Let's say the World Health Organization (WHO), an international organization, published a health research paper on 1st July 2020. According to Section 29 of The Copyright Act, 1957, the copyright for this research paper will be protected until the end of 2080. This means, until 2080, no one can reproduce, distribute, or display the research paper without the WHO's permission, otherwise, it would be considered a copyright infringement.
