The Central Sanskrit Universities Act, 2020

The Central Sanskrit Universities Act, 2020 was enacted to establish and incorporate Central Sanskrit Universities in India to promote and propagate the Sanskrit language, literature, and culture. The Act defines the objectives, powers, and functions of the universities, including conducting research and awarding degrees and diplomas. The Act also sets out provisions relating to the composition of governing bodies, appointment of Vice-Chancellors and other officials, and regulation of admission, fees, and other academic matters.
