Imagine Mr. Sharma, who has been serving as the Chairman of the Central Administrative Tribunal, has just completed his term. According to Section 11 of The Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985:
- Mr. Sharma is now ineligible to take up any further employment with either the central or any state government, including positions in local authorities or government-controlled corporations.
- If Mr. Sharma were the Chairman of a State Administrative Tribunal instead, he could be considered for the role of Chairman or Member of the Central Administrative Tribunal or other State Tribunals after his term, but not for other government jobs.
- Additionally, Mr. Sharma is prohibited from practicing law or representing clients in any capacity before the Tribunal where he served, ensuring that there is no conflict of interest.
